Tanners Point.

From lifestyle paddocks to productive avocado orchard.

Tanners Point was a 7 hectare transformation from lifestyle - into an 800 tree, top producing avocado orchard.

Planning

Wetland/gully areas unsuitable for avocado trees were avoided, and a planting plan was created using drone photography and Google mapping, along with onsite measurements to confirm true-scale. Shelter trees and a plan for fencing, gates, sheds and water tanks was completed.

Implementation

Managing multiple contractors is part of our service. From earthworks to horticultural advisors, we manage all parties and ensure everyone is on the same page. We also quantity survey precise material lists, often accurate to the last post. We use our bulk buying to pass on raw material discounts.

Success

With close to 100% tree success rate, avocado harvests in year four topped $180,000 - pretty good for a lifestyle block that had run at a loss. The owners had great advice from Katikati locals - Mike Darling, Lindsay Heard and Ross Fowler on planting and avo management.

All set now for a very profitable future.
